“Legalisation Only” Terms for Members of the Public
Please read these brief terms before instructing us.
- On the basis that your documents have been signed by a “Public Official” or certified by a Notary Public (as necessary) and meet the FCDO requirements, Fatchett & Co Notaries Limited (“We”) will act as your agents.
- We will transport your documents to the FCDO Legalisation Office to be dealt with under the FCDO Legalisation Office Business Service.
- We will pick up your document(s) with the Apostille (if granted).
- We will post the documents back to you by First Class Post or elsewhere and by whatever other means as you indicate (and pay for).
- Our fees shall be as set out on our website from time to time.
- Any documents which do not meet the FCDO requirements will be returned to you.
- Payment must be made in advance.
- We shall not be responsible for any loss or damage caused by our services, directly or indirectly above the level of our own fees and in employing us you agree this is reasonable.
- We shall not be responsible for the acts or omissions of Royal Mail, DHL courier or any other third party we may use, and in employing us you agree that this is reasonable.
- While we will try and assist you with problems, we accept no responsibility for the validity of your documents and their acceptance by the FCDO Legalisation Office.
